Tour Italy in Five Easy Steps:
Spring and Fall are great times to tour Italy!
1) You choose the dates.
2) You choose whether you'd like to go an escorted tour, or whether you just need help planning your itinerary.
3) You choose how long you'd like to stay.
4) You choose what areas you'd like to visit.
5) We do the rest! We plan your itinerary, book your hotels, make your restaurant reservations, hire professional walking tour guides, organize your land transportation, purchase tickets to the sights we see, and so much more.

Here are a few examples of itineraries we might build for you:
Rome, Lower Tuscany and Umbria:
This ten night tour starts in Rome. We'll spend the first two nights in this grand city. While there, enjoy a professionally guided walking tour of the Coliseum, and a nearby church that is simply fantastic. I have two wonderful meals planned for those two days. We'll explore Rome like the locals. (Psst...I'm going to take you to my favorite pizza place. You'll never think of pizza the same way again. But you have to promise not to tell everyone where it is. I like to think of it as "mine". Soon it will be "ours":)
Then we head out into the country for the next week, in our privately chauffeured van. Our first stop will be beautiful Orvieto with a surprise along the way. Next, we head into lower Tuscany. We'll spend two nights in Tuscany, visiting several lovely towns. While there, we'll experience an amazing wine tasting lunch sampling Tuscan culinary delights and delicious wines. Then it's on to cooking school! We'll spend an afternoon at a beautiful Italian countryside home enjoying a hands-on cooking lesson. And guess what? We'll do another wine tasting there....we're so lucky!
Four nights to go before we have to get you back to Rome. Time to get to Umbria! We'll spend our nights in beautiful hill top towns. We'll visit an olive oil mill, have guided walking tours of other nearby hill towns, go ceramics shopping, have more wine tastings, more phenomenal meals...more, more, more. You'll have time to stroll and explore on your own though; don't worry.
Then it's a final farewell lunch and back to Rome for your last night, and time for you to pack up and get ready to head back to reality.
Rome and the Hill Towns of Umbria:
Tour two is a seven night tour that starts with two nights in Rome. We'll take a walking tour in the city and as with tour one, great meals are on tap, along with other sights in this magnificent city.
After Rome, we spend the next four nights out in the countryside of Umbria. Why Umbria? Because I fell in love with it when I lived there, and you will too. Its hill top towns are stunningly beautiful, its people open and charming, its food hearty and delicious and its lesser known wines have become my favorites. They just might become your favorites as well.
We'll be visiting and taking guided walking tours of even more towns during our days there. I have some pretty amazing meals lined up and again, several wine tastings. We'll take a half day cooking lesson at a lovely little winery where we'll be given a behind-the-scenes tour as well. I have lots of surprises up my sleeve. Don't you just love surprises?
We finish with a Farewell Lunch and get back to Rome with time to pack before you head back home.
Rome, Lazio and the Amalfi Coast:
We start this ten day itinerary with several nights in Rome. If you are a first time visitor, we'll be sure to do walking tours to the most sought after sights like the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums. If you are a repeat visitor, believe me, there is a Huge list of "secondary" sights that really shouldn't be missed. Then we jump in our private van, and head south of Rome to discover some of Lazio's hidden treasures. As usual, a cooking class is involved if you so choose. After Lazio, we drive to our southernmost point of Paestum to explore the ruins of an ancient Greek city. From there, we return north, but this time, we drive along the spectacular Amalfi Coast. The views, the food and wine, the sights....it's all amazing. During our days there, we will tour Pompeii and take a boat ride out to the beautiful Isle of Capri before we return for our final night in Rome. Think sunshine. Think lemons. Think sparkling blue water.....sigh.
