This tour begins with four nights in Rome, and we end with our final night in Rome as well. In between, we spend nine nights out in the Italian countryside. Our private van meanders along the scenic back roads of Tuscany and Umbria, stopping at beautiful sights and hill top towns. Along the way, we'll make stops for great wine and food. Ahh......sip, sip......ahhh!

First time visitors to Rome will experience two half day walking tours led by an officially licensed guide. We'll visit the Vatican Museums along with the Sistine Chapel, and cover the Coliseum and Roman Forum the next day. If this is not your first trip to Rome, and you've already seen these major sights, I will ensure our walking tours cover equally fascinating sights which you have not seen yet. In addition, I'll take you to a fabulous food market, and we'll stroll other wonderful sights in the city together.

When it is time to leave Rome, our driver will pick us up and we'll have the use of his services and his private luxury van for the remainder of our trip. We leave the hubub of the city behind and head out into the relaxing countryside. As we make our way into lower Tuscany, we'll stop at a few amazing sights along the way. Once we are in lower Tuscany, our days will be filled with wine tastings, picturesque hilltop towns, and delicious meals.

Up next will be a visit to an agriturismo; a working farm where we can stay a couple of nights, have cooking lessons, enjoy delicious home cooked meals, and a little "down" time at the villa. Have you ever wanted to make your own pizza in a wood-fired oven? This is your chance!

Then we finish our trip with several nights in Umbria. There is so much to see here; we will be quite busy. The hilltop towns are so charming, as are the people. We'll have fantastic meals, see awe-inspiring art, stroll cobblestoned streets...sigh. You'll never want to leave! But, alas all good things must come to an end. We will return to Rome for our final night, so everyone has time to repack their purchases, and get organized for their return home.
